In the spring of 2023, I was looking for a new method of content creation to help build my portfolio. The thought of a podcast came to mind and I reached out to my friend Chris to see if he wanted to join me in it. We both agreed it was about us having fun not about trying to make a statement or a point about anything. I had the idea to focus on something we are both passionate about – recreational sports and social clubs. From there the podcast ‘Slipped Disc’ was created and we put out a new episode almost weekly. Earlier this year as part of an assignment for a Digital Marketing class I had to create a concert poster. Without a question I chose to make a poster about the best band – the Foo Fighters! I used an upcoming show at the Ottawa Blues Fest as the show. The graphic I used reminded me of old clubs, and the font had old marquee vibes all day. Who wouldn’t want to see the best band in an intimate club setting! Check it out:
